Bradford girl's bath bomb business is booming | Bradford Telegraph and Argus

A SEVEN-year-old Bradford business entrepreneur who set up her own bath bomb company during the Covid lockdowns has made hundreds of sales in her first year.

Maisie Howard started Amaising Bath Bombs after her parents gave her £50 to invest to keep her occupied while she stayed at home during the pandemic.

But she has now sold hundreds of her colourful homemade bath bombs, has a host of regular customers and has even started holding her own stall at local markets and carnivals.

Maisie said: “I started Amaising Bath Bombs to earn some pocket money in the holidays to learn about buying things myself, and make people happy at bath time and having fun.

“I love meeting lots of people at my stalls, and going on live videos with my online followers where they can see me packing my orders up.”

Her mum Lisa said any money Maisie makes is invested to buy more stock and expand her products – and a new 90s-themed range is coming out soon.

She also sells bath rocks, sponges, and home fragrance products.

Lisa, who also has her own spray-tan business, added: “Maisie loves doing it, and I encouraged her because I was worried about them missing so much school during Covid, so I wanted her to have something to focus on and learn about.

“Maisie loves meeting people, making the products and going to the events to sell her items too.”

The bright and colourful products are child-friendly and some even have toys inside.

As well as focussing on the making, packaging and selling of her products, Maisie also has a large following on social media where she likes to interact with her followers to show them what she gets up to behind the scenes.

“I like going on live videos with my followers making them laugh and packing orders up also everything is colourful and happy,” Maisie added.

The young entrepreneur also creates gift bundles for special occasions including Mother's and Father's Day, as well as paint-your-own bath-bomb sets for £6.

So far, Maisie has been at events like Wrose Carnival and Baildon Market to sell her products, and recently she has managed to make £100 for her summer caravan holiday.
