Natalie and Mitch White are moving their probiotic skincare business "Be Well Company" to Warrenton after starting the company in Charleston, S.C., in 2017.

After a 10-year hiatus from the Northern Virginia region, Natalie Shultz White, founder of Be Well Company Charleston, S.C., announced this week she is moving her probiotic skincare business to Warrenton.

White, originally from Winchester, said she founded Be Well in 2017, three years after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), a disease in which the immune system eats away at the protective covering of nerves.

At the time of her diagnosis, White said she was offered a “variety of drugs” to help treat but not cure her disease. Not satisfied with her options, however, White said she began “studying the power of superfoods and probiotics for the body after discovering a doctor who had reversed her own MS symptoms 10 years earlier with a specific type of diet and a clean living lifestyle.”

Within six months of adopting a new eating regiment, White said she had fully reversed her symptoms.

Fast forward two years, fearing her MS symptoms could return, White took things a step further and decided to not only change her diet but also her skincare routine.

“I discovered that the skincare industry is almost entirely unregulated, and that had me extremely concerned about what I was putting on my body,” White said in a release.

Thus, she began her journey making my own skincare products using the same superfood ingredients she used to reverse her MS symptoms.

“What I realized was I could support my health by feeding my skin the same nutrients that I was feeding my gut with our foods, and not surprisingly the products I made worked better than anything I had tried over those two years,” White said.

In 2017, White had a vision of sharing what she’d learned the last few years with others who may not know how to change their lifestyle or where to start.

White said her products are made from clean superfood ingredients and do not use “man-made chemicals” or other “cheap ingredients.”

White and her husband Mitch, who is originally from Fairfax, said they are excited to be moving back Northern Virginia with their three kids after being away the last 10 years in Charleston.

“When we decided to move back to the area we explored many areas around NOVA but when we visited Warrenton we fell in love with it,” Mitch said. “We were looking for a small, friendly hometown feel but with a lot of activities and fun, interesting people. Warrenton had the best combination of everything we were looking for.”

Natalie White said their "life’s goal to offer their unique wellness approach to others, starting with skincare, in hopes that people can take charge of and improve their own lives as much as they’ve been fortunate enough to do."
