Award-winning Midlands burger brand Libertine Burger has launched two special creations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The company, which has restaurants in Leamington Spa and Rugby and also serves up burgers at some of the UK’s top festivals, has created a Jubilee-themed burger to join in the nation’s celebration of the Queen’s 70 years on the throne, along with a special shake inspired by English classics.

Libertine’s new #70 is its trademark buttermilk fried chicken breast, topped with Libertine curry dust, Coronation mayo, grape chutney, pickled cucumber, American cheese and lettuce. It is available in the joint's restaurants in the run-up to the Jubilee, along with a brand new English tea and Custard Cream shake.

Libertine’s Group head chef Tom Robinson said: “We love any opportunity to create something new, so the Jubilee is the perfect chance to take a British classic - Coronation Chicken - and use it to create a burger that really stands out from the crowd.

"We didn’t want to stop there and decided to give people the chance to enjoy a brew and biscuit - but in milkshake form. We look forward to seeing everyone down at Libertine to join in our Jubilee celebrations.”

Since bursting on to the street food scene in 2016 serving food from a 'pimped-up' Renault Master, Libertine has made a name for itself as one of the biggest burger restaurants in the country. Their patties have led to them reaching the National Burger Awards finals three times, being crowned UK winners in 2019. Libertine also made it to the finals of both the British Street Food Awards and the Street Food Championships.

Such is their success that in 2021 they launched a range of DIY Burger Kits, which are available for nationwide delivery. The DIY kits, which are delivered nationwide on Fridays, come with everything you need to cook up a feast for the whole family, serving four people.

Their Libertine #007 - which won the National Burger Awards - comes with their signature beef patties, seeded brioche buns, American cheese, house chilli, chimichurri, ketchup, lettuce and pickles. If you like a bit of spice try the Libertine #005 kit which comes with crispy smoky bacon, deep-fried pickles and hot sauce. Both of these kits cost £30 each.

There is also a kit for vegans, the Libertine #111, which includes their signature plant-based patties, plant-based brioche, vegan cheese, ketchup, French mustard and pickles for £23. DIY sides include Chilli Cheese Tater Tots, Truffle & Parmesan Tater Tots and Dirty Tater Tots at £9 each.
