A mum-of-two has turned over $200,000 in 18 months after creating a relaxing bath bomb that removes fake tan without the need to scrub the skin.
Candace Cronin, from the Gold Coast, has loved tanning since she was a teenager and launched Tan Bomb in October 2020 after two years of formulating the perfect product.
The 37-year-old told FEMAIL she suffers from sensitive skin and couldn't use foam or gel chemical cleansers available on the market, as it would leave her with red, patchy skin.
Tan Bomb is formulated with Australian-made natural nourishing ingredients to hydrate the skin while also erasing old tan in 15 minutes.
The product is also infused with Epsom salts (magnesium) to help relieve tired, achy muscles.

'I'm a huge avid tanner - always have been since I was 16 - so I know all too well how annoying and time consuming it can be to scrub fake tan off with harsh chemical based tan erasers,' Candace said.
'Having sensitive skin, I found using all the chemical-based foams and cleansers on the market to be quite harsh on the skin especially when scrubbing off with a mitt.
'It would leave the skin red and patchy after exfoliating and dry for days - this is the worst for a new fake tan application.'
Candace and her business partner at the time wanted to create a product that doubles as a fake tan remover and primer that nourished the skin, all while relaxing in the bath.
Customers can expect a burst of a black raspberry and vanilla fragrance after dropping the Tan Bomb into the bath of warm water. The water will then transform into a velvet blanket that nourishes and gently exfoliates the skin
Candace said she first thought of the idea four years ago and the product development took two years to make sure the formulation was 100 per cent right.
'Sourcing all the right Australian-made ingredients was quite tricky to start and for the product to work at it's best, the quantities need to be 100 per cent accurate,' she said.
Candace and her business partner invested about $30,000 for the product ingredients, production equipment, packaging, website, subscriptions and minimal advertising dollars.

Despite the innovative product, Candace said the first month of sales 'wasn't groundbreaking'.
'I've learnt that you really need to have an audience to launch to. We didn't have this and looking back this would have been a great way to start,' she said.
'My advice if you're wanting to launch a product to market would be to start an Instagram or TikTok page first and throw out teasers of what's coming with nice aesthetics. It will build the hype and encourage those first purchases.
'We ended up with quite a lot of organic website traffic and word of mouth through our branding.'
