THE WHAT? U.S TV personality and sportsperson Michael Strahan is set to launch a skin care collection, Michael Strahan Daily Defense, according to WWD.com.
THE DETAILS The new skin and shave line offers five products, which include a face and beard wash, shaving lotion, post-shave balm, conditioning beard oil, and face and neck moisturizer.
Created with biotechnology company Evolved by Nature, the range will launch at CVS Pharmacy and online.
THE WHY? The line is a new addition to the Michael Strahan brand created in 2015, and features athleisure, denim apparel and accessories.
Strahan is said to be aiming to help men stop hiding their grooming products.
He said, “There’s this whole machoism thing. We think it’s not cool or manly to have great skin. There’s a stigma against it and it’s usually product you borrow or hide on the back shelf in the bathroom.”
Confident the range will find a gap in the men’s grooming market, Strahan said, “I definitely think there’s a white space and opportunity for us.”
